"Robert Erskine of that Ilk, 3rd Lord Erskine, + Flodden, 1513" (from the Earls of Mar pedigree)On 2 Mar. 1485/6 Robert was mentioned as son and heir apparent of Alexander Erskine of Balhagerdy in a Crown Charter to himself and his wife of the lands of Ellem and others in Co. Berwick and elsewhere.
He had Crown Charters of various lands during his father's lifetime and was given his father's estates about 1508 or before May 1509. He also acquired lands in 1510.
Robert was killed at Flodden 9 Sept. 1513.
